November 5, 2024 General Municipal Election
The electors of the Town of Southwest Ranches, Florida, are hereby notified on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 there will be a General Municipal Election for the purpose of electing members to the Town Council for Mayor and Town Council Districts 3 and 4.

Code of Ordinances – Section 070-110 – Temporary Signs
Qualifying papers can be picked up in the Office of the Town Clerk. The qualifying period commences Monday, June 10, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) until Friday, June 14, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). QUALIFYING OVER
All qualified electors for the Town of Southwest Ranches whose names appear on the registration books of the Broward County Supervisor of Elections will be eligible to vote in said election, at the polling location designated by the Broward County Supervisor of Elections, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Absentee ballots for the Town of Southwest Ranches, Florida, General Municipal Election may be obtained from the Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office, 115 S. Andrews Avenue, Room 111, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301, or by calling 954-357-7050. All absentee ballots must be returned no later than 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
The aforesaid election, qualifying of candidates, voters registration and absentee ballots shall be conducted and handled in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.

The duly elected Council Members shall each serve a four-year term commencing at the next regular scheduled Council meeting after the general election.
ELECTRONIC CAMPAIGN REPORTING PORTAL
Campaign Treasurer Reports shall be filed on the 10th day following the end of each month, except that if the tenth day occurs on a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, the report shall be filed on the next business day that is not a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday. *The last day to accept contributions is October 31, 2024.*

Campaign treasurer’s reports are due by 5 p.m. on the dates noted above. Failure to file a report on the designated due date shall subject the candidate to a fine of $50 per day for the first 3 days late and, thereafter, $500 per day for each late day; not to exceed 25% of the total receipts or expenditures, whichever is greater, for the period covered by the late report. However, for the reports immediately preceding each primary and general election, the fine shall be $500 per day for each late day, not to exceed 25% of the total receipts or expenditures whichever is greater, for the period covered by the late report, as provided in F.S. Section 106.07(8). Fines must be paid from the candidate’s personal funds – not campaign funds.
It is the candidate’s responsibility to insure that the information contained in the reports is true and correct and in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.
