The Town welcomes its newest Council Member, Steve Breitkreuz, and recognizes his commitment to "Preserving Our Rural Lifestyle."   Steve and his wife Denise have three daughters Natasha, Hannah and Erika.  He is a graduate of the University of Miami in 1979 (BBA – Finance, Computer Systems) and Baylor University 1982 (MBA – Finance).  Steve works for BankAtlantic in a management capacity.  When he is not working Steve enjoys travel, golf, and working on the property.  Most of his extended family lives in Colorado where he enjoys spending much of his vacation time.

Council Member Knight is married to Birdie Knight. Together they have 5 children: Ohmar, Paul, Wayne, Stephen, & Allison. Aster was born in Jamaica, W.I. on November 3rd. He is a full-time Hospice Nurse. His hobbies include reading & gardening. "Aster Knight will do what's right!"

Council Member Maines has 2 children: Donald Scott (deceased) & Michelle Lynn. Don has one granddaughter, Sabrina Riley. Don was born in Long Island , NY on June 12, 1949 and graduated from Huntington High School . Don moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1968 to attend college and fell in love with this area. Don is an avid horseman and enjoys rodeo, cowboy mounted shooting, trail riding and camping with his horses. When Don is not with his horses, playing golf, or on his Harley he is a private therapist working with addictive disorders and substance abuse.

Council Member Nelson is married to Gina Sandusky-Nelson. They have 2 children, Chloe Suzanne, age 7 and Coleman James, age 5. Jeff has been a resident of Broward County for over 40 years. He is employed by the School Board of Broward County and works in administration for Cypress Bay High School. Jeff enjoys spending time with family & friends, fishing, golfing and being outdoors - he is an avid sports fan and enthusiast and especially enjoys football and hockey.
